S Sreesanth posted a heartfelt tweet on social media after he was named in the players to be up for the IPL 2022 mega-auctions on February 12 and 13. The cash-rich league released a list of 590 cricketers who will go under the hammer for the 15th season.

Sreesanth served a seven-year ban after he was found guilty of spot-fixing in IPL 2013. He had registered himself for the 2021 auction but did not make it to the final list. However, a year later, the 38-year-old fast bowler demands a base price of Rs 50 lakh.

He played for Kerala in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy last year. He was charged with spot-fixing in 2013 with two other Rajasthan Royals teammates Ankeet Chavan and Ajjit Chadila.

The 38-year-old helped India win the T20 World Cup in 2007 and the ODI tournament in 2011. 

IPL on Tuesday announced that 228 capped, 355 uncapped and seven players from the Associated Nations will be up for auction. Big Indian names like Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, R Ashwin, Mohammad Shami and Ishan Kishan are part of the list.
