Those shot have been hospitalised and have suffered non-life threatening injuries, police said adding that this is an ongoing investigation. Lexington police said anyone with any information on the shooting should contact them.

Dave Cooper, a resident of Lexington who spoke to Lexington Herald Leader, said he is concerned about the violence and late night activities at the stadium. “What’s the security? Why are people still on the property? I don’t feel safe,” he said.

“There’s apartment buildings right next to the baseball stadium. They have to realise that this is a neighbourhood,” Cooper added.

Three shootings were reported in Lexington early Saturday. At 2:28 am, Lexington police found a woman injured with a gunshot wound at Oak Street and took her to the hospital, Lexington Herald Leader reported.
