“I have been waiting for a girl President since forever”, said little Amelia to Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, who is set to take an oath of office
on Wednesday and create history by becoming the first female to do so.

As Kamla continues her streak of many ‘firsts of America’, the future leaders of the nation have a
message for her and it is filled with hope and aspirations.

On Tuesday, Harris took to twitter to share a heartwarming video where she can be seen reading letters sent by young American and their words will delight you.

“Our young leaders fuel me with hope for a better tomorrow,” Harris captioned the video.

“Dear Kamala, I have been waiting for a girl VP since forever and I’m glad you are the first because now girls can do anything,” Amelia, a young girl scout said.

Harris hailed Amelia as an ‘incredible young leader’

Then came Sahana’s letter, which revealed something she had never seen before, a Vice President of Indian descent just like her, quite sure about the capabilities of her soon to be Vice President.

Next in the line was 11 year old Peyton who aspires to become a Youtuber and soccer player and was confident that Harris would become a great Vice President and “make the world a better place”

Harris, who holds some strong opinions on the role a country’s  leadership play in moulding a child’s mind, acknowledged in her victory speech that this generation will see her victory as symbol of possibilities and pave way for a better tomorrow.

However, President elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will assume control of the office on Wednesday outside the Capitol building.
