A shooting occurred on the campus of Alabama A&M University on Tuesday afternoon. The incident left three people injured.

According to Huntsville officials, two of the injured people drove themselves to the hospital, while Huntsville Fire & Rescue confirmed that the third person was transferred there by ambulance.

The university responded to the incident by issuing a “Campus Alert” alerting people to a potential “emergency” scenario close to the Knight Center around 6:00 p.m.

The university then sent out a follow-up alert to let the public know that everything was fine and that there was no longer an active threat to the campus.

In addition, the university said that more police would be on campus while investigators worked to wrap up their thorough investigations into the incident.

Meanwhile, another shooting incident occurred in Placer County on Tuesday. The incident claimed the lives of one individual and injured two others. Around eight in the morning, there was a gunshot in Sacramento County. But the sheriff’s office hasn’t revealed the exact location, and it doesn’t seem like anyone was shot during the incident.

The gunmen fled the scene in two different cars after the shooting, and they later collided in Placer County near the intersection of PFE Road and Walerga Road.

One of the vehicles in this collision had another person, and the deceased was a passenger. There was only one female driver in the second car that was in the collision. The other two involved were taken to the hospital, however, the identity of the dead has not yet been released to the public.

All of the people involved in the event, according to the sheriff’s office, are thought to have known one another. As per police officials, no arrests have been made so far in the case.
