A horrific shooting incident occurred at a southeast Atlanta gas station on Wednesday morning.
The incident is being investigated by the Atlanta Police Department. At 4:11 a.m., police responded to a report of a person shot at 1683 Lakewood Avenue Southeast, the address of the Amoco gas station.
When they got there, they found a man who was 37 years old and had been shot. The victim, who has not yet been named, was taken to the hospital and later passed away from his wounds.

Two men are seen fighting in the parking lot of the gas station in video footage, reported by Channel 2. A fight breaks out over a book bag when one of them is sitting in the driver’s seat of a car and the other, in a fluorescent shirt, looks to reach inside. The two people can be seen exchanging gunfire in the footage, though it’s still unknown if any of them were hurt.
The man with the brightly colored shirt quickly disappears from the camera’s field of view and resurfaces as he walks into the petrol station carrying the book bag. The person who was in the car before is seen pulling forward, parking, getting out, and moving forward toward the gas station entrance while brandishing a gun that he loads and cocks.

Meanwhile, another shooting incident occurred at a gas station off of Pinson Valley Parkway in Birmingham on Thursday. The incident claimed the life of one person and injured another, as confirmed by police officials.
A suspect in another car pulled up next to a couple who was sitting in their car at a Marathon petrol station, according to the police, and started shooting at their car.

The victims attempted to drive away but ultimately crashed the vehicle into the adjacent woods. Jamal Ali Abdulahe, 44, unfortunately passed away there.
The woman was not injured in the shooting, but she did incur non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, according to Center Point Fire and Rescue officials.
