A shooting at Beatties Ford Road in north Charlotte injured at least one person on Saturday, according to MEDIC.
The shooting took place at the 2300 block of Beatties Ford Road just before 7 PM. According to police, officers in the area heard gunshots. A large crowd of people and cars were there.

One person was taken to a hospital to be treated for serious injuries, MEDIC said.
Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over two different scenes in north Charlotte. Police were investigating a Jeep Cherokee that was parked on I-85 near Beatties Ford Road, local channel WSOC-TV reported. The website added that they could see bulletholes on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The name of the suspect and victims have not been revealed yet.
Meanwhile, a shooting was reported at Oak Park in the 900 block of Madison Street on Saturday afternoon. The incident, which took place during a suburban funeral procession, claimed four lives, authorities said.

Police added that shots were fired at targeted people at the funeral procession. No bystanders were harmed.
Oak Park Police Department on Twitter said: “Oak Park Police are responding to a shooting that occurred this afternoon on the 900 block of Madison St. as part of a funeral procession. Madison is closed in both directions in the vicinity at this time. More information will be posted as it becomes available.”
