In the shooting on Saturday night at the Beyond Wonderland music event at the Gorge Amphitheatre, roughly 150 miles southeast of Seattle, Brandy Escamilla and Josilyn Ruiz perished.

Kelly, who is being detained without bond, admitted to using psychedelics before going to the outdoor venue, which caused him to have hallucinations. The dance festival was attended by Kelly and a 20-year-old woman he dated for a year, according to documents. Ruiz, 26, and Escamilla, 29, passed away at the scene.

“This is the end,” Kelly told his date, according to documents. Based on court records Kelly pulled a handgun from a locked box in the pickup truck’s console, fired several rounds at the Seattle couple passing by.

As of Tuesday, the health of a 31-year-old from Eugene, Washington, who had been shot at least once was stable.

Prior to being shot, a security guard also responded to the site, according to police. Her utility vehicle’s windscreen was shot through by a bullet, which also wounded and bruised her on the side of the face and her glasses.

Before Kelly took away her phone, Kelly’s date called 911 to summon assistance, according to the records.

“She told dispatch her man had a gun. Then no more information could be provided because Kelly took her phone and discarded it,” records say.
