President Biden’s dog Major bit a White House employee in a second biting incident on March 30.

Major was being walked on the South Lawn of the White House when he attacked a White House employee who was working and had to stop and get medical treatment from the medical unit of the White House, reported CNN.

The dog is a 3-year-old German shepherd. Adopted by the Bidens back in 2018, Major had been receiving training for the past two due to his first attacking incident at the White House.

Jeff Mason, Reuters’ White House correspondent had earlier tweeted a video of Major’s walk in the lawn.

Unlike the usual norm, Major has been leashed during his walk as per the video. When the first Lady, President Biden or Dale Haney, the White House grounds superintendent walk Major, he roams around freely.

Michael LaRosa, First lady Jill Biden’s press secretary said,” Yes, Major nipped someone on a walk. Out of an abundance of caution, the individual was seen by WHMU and then returned to work without injury, and that “the dog is “still adjusting to his new surroundings,” reported CNN.

Previously, Major had attacked a Secret Service employee at the White House on March 8. The injured employee required medical assistance and treatment from the White House medical team due to the severity of the injury.

In an interview with ABC News following the first attacking mishap, President Joe Biden had said, “You turn a corner, and there’s two people you don’t know at all. And (Major) moves to protect.”

He added, “But he’s a sweet dog. 85% of the people there love him. He just — all he does is lick them and wag his tail. But … I realize some people, understandably, are afraid of dogs, to begin with.”
