A tragic incident unfolded in Bloomfield, resulting in the loss of a man’s life following a shooting, as reported by the local police. The unsettling event took place near the intersection of Cottage Grove Road and Bloomfield Avenue, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
Shortly before 9 a.m., officers received a distress call alerting them to the incident. The location of the shooting was in proximity to Trinity Health of New England Urgent Care and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, creating a scene of urgency and concern in the community.
Upon arriving at the designated intersection, Bloomfield officers were confronted with a grim sight. They discovered a man who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Immediate life-saving measures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), were administered at the scene in a desperate attempt to stabilize his condition. Subsequently, the injured individual was expedited to Saint Francis Hospital for further medical attention.
