According to state police, a shooting that occurred overnight in Bristol left two cops dead and one critically injured. Soon after 11 p.m., Bristol’s Redstone Hill Road and Birch Street were the scene of an officer-involved gunshot, according to state police.

“Three officers were shot in Bristol, we are still working diligently to gather accurate information from our investigators and all that are involved. We will provide a press conference as soon as we can. Again, please be patient as the scene is still very active and fluid,” Connecticut State Police posted on social media.

They requested that everyone who was impacted, including the officer’s family, think of them and pray for them.

Another update from Connecticut State Police revealed that – “3 officers were shot in Bristol OIS. The setting was a residential neighbourhood. There is no indication of which department the officers belonged to. The officers were taken to Bristol Health. According to an eyewitness, the frequency of the gunfire was frightening.
