Law enforcement sources have reported that a man is currently in police custody on suspicion of fatally shooting his wife and critically injuring her son by shooting him in the face in a Brooklyn neighborhood.
The tragic incident unfolded on Friday night on Louisiana Avenue in East New York, where the woman was shot and killed. The New York Police Department (NYPD) responded to distress calls reporting two individuals shot at approximately 7 p.m.
The victim’s son, aged 26, sustained a gunshot wound to the face and was rushed to Brookdale Hospital in critical condition.
According to sources, the alleged shooter voluntarily surrendered to a pair of patrol officers in Bushwick later that same night. Subsequently, he was taken to a hospital for a medical issue.
It is anticipated that criminal charges will be filed on Saturday in connection with the incident. The authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic event that unfolded in the Brooklyn neighborhood.
