A horrific shooting incident occurred near Saddletrail Road, north of Colombia on Sunday afternoon, as confirmed by police officials.
The incident claimed the lives of three teens and injured one. The Richland County Sheriff’s Department was summoned to respond near Columbia, in the 200 block of Saddletrail Road, a residential area off Crane Church Road.
The call was made at about 2:00 p.m. Upon arrival, deputies found four teens, ages 16 to 17, who had been shot. They were quickly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, but regrettably, three of the victims passed away as a result of their wounds. The fourth victim, who suffered a lower-body injury, was later released from the hospital.
The police department is actively looking for the shooter despite not having provided a motive for the incident.
Meanwhile, another shooting incident occurred at Harrisburg. A suspect has been taken into custody by Harrisburg police in connection with a gunshot that took place on Sunday afternoon shortly after 12:20 p.m. Police had just finished their investigation of the scene when the event took place at Hall Manor. A number of officers had roped off the area.
The facts behind the shooting and the relationship between the attacker and the victim are currently unknown. One person has been detained in connection with the shooting, according to police verification. The male victim was rushed to the hospital to receive medical care.
Meanwhile, another shooting incident occurred in Gresham on Sunday afternoon. The incident left one individual injured.
The shooting was reported at about 12:40 p.m. Officers quickly responded and arrived at the scene near NE Division and NE Burnside, where they found the injured person. After that, the victim was sent to a local hospital for treatment. The victim’s condition has not yet been made public by the authorities.
