United States President Donald Trump finally
accepted the Republican Party’s nomination, and delivered his nomination acceptance
speech on Thursday, on the final night of the Republican National Convention.

Speaking at the RNC,  Trump said, “I stand before you
tonight honored by your support, proud of the extraordinary
progress we have made together over the last four
incredible years, and brimming with confidence
in the bright future we will build for America
over the next four years.”

Trump,
who was introduced by his daughter Ivanka Trump, opened his Republican National
Convention speech by remarking on Hurricane Laura that devastated communities
as it swept through Louisiana and Texas.

President Donald Trump took a moment to remember his late brother Robert Trump who died this month in New York.

“I know my brother Robert is looking down on us right now from heaven,” he said. “He was a great brother and was very proud of the job we are all doing. Thank you. We love you, Robert.”

Trump further said that he did more for the black community, than Democratic nominee Joe Biden did in 46 years. Trump’s comments came amid massive Black Lives Matter protests across the country after a police officer shot at a 29-year-old black man, Jacob Blake. Hundreds of Black Lives Matter protesters gathered in front of the White House, shouting with anger and demanding his resignation, ahead of President’s speech.

President Donald Trump, further paid respect to medical professionals fighting the coronavirus pandemic with a standing ovation.

“We are grateful to be joined tonight by several of our incredible nurses and first responders. Please stand and except our profound thanks and gratitude,” Trump said.

In his speech, Trump repeatedly claimed there would be a coronavirus vaccine by the end of the year, and at one point implied it could be available sooner.

“We are delivering lifesaving therapies, and will produce a vaccine before the end of the year, or maybe even sooner,” Trump said. “We will defeat the virus, end the pandemic, and emerge stronger than ever before,” he added.

Donald Trump-speaking to a crowd of more than 1,000 supporters at the White House that wasn’t socially distancing and many were not wearing masks -said that unlike Joe Biden, his administration focuses ‘on the science, the facts and the data’ to handle the coronavirus pandemic.

He further branded his Democratic rival Joe Biden a “destroyer of American greatness” in a fierce attack delivered as he accepted the Republican Party nomination for reelection.

“Joe Biden is not a savior of America’s soul. He’s the destroyer of America’s jobs and given the chance, he’ll be the destroyer of American greatness,” Trump charged. “This election will decide whether we save the American Dream, or whether we allow a socialist agenda to demolish our cherished destiny,” he said.
