A misleading video edited with malicious intent, targeting Democratic Presidential candidate Joe Biden ahead of the November 3 US Presidential elections was viewed more than one million times on social media website Twitter over the weekend, as per a CNN report.

In the video, the former Vice-President is seen addressing his supporters at St Paul, Minnesota and says, “ Hello, Minnesota!”

The 77-year-old had visited Minnesota on October 30, where he addressed a crowd and repeatedly attacked Donald Trump over his response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the original video, signs placed in front of Biden as well as behind him show “Text MN to 30330”- establishing that the event took place in Minnesota.

Speaking at the Minnesota rally, Biden had said, “We choose hope over fear. Unity over division. Science over fiction.”

The Democratic candidate had repeated “And yes, truth over lies. So it’s time to stand up and take back our democracy.”

In the falsely edited video, the on-stage signs were manipulated to read “Tampa, Florida” and “Text FL to 30330,”as per CNN report.

Twitter flagged the video as ‘manipulated media’ on Sunday, following more than 1 million views. The video was flagged on Twitter by a person who accused Biden of forgetting the state he was visiting.

President Donald Trump’s campaign has repeatedly attacked Joe Biden calling him mentally unfit for office.
