Former President Donald Trump is currently facing six trials in total— four criminal and two civil — for which he could potentially need to appear in court seven times before 2024 election day rolls in.

Trump, who has thrown his hat into the race to the White House for a third time in his life, is in a situation unlike any presidential hopeful before, in modern times. On Monday, he was indicted for the fourth time by a grand jury in Georgia on 13 counts for allegedly attempting to alter the results of the 2020 election loss to President Joe Biden. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, has said that she would be seeking “a trial date within the next six months.”

Trump is also facing charges on federal level, brought by special counsel Jack Smith. This includes a Miami case where Trump is facing 40 charges related to his alleged mishandling of classified documents and a DC case relating to his alleged efforts to alter the 2020 election loss.

In addition, Trump also faces a trial in Manhattan where he is accused of criminally falsified business records at a time when he paid hush money to women, including adult film actress Stormy Daniels, claiming to have had affairs with him during the 2016 election.

There is also a civil fraud case against Trump and his sons Eric and Donald Trump Jr. brought by New York Attorney General Letitia James. Journalist E. Jean Carroll also has brought a second defamation suit against the former leader in civil court, which stems from the accusation that Trump sexually assaulted her in a department store in 1996 and falsely denied it. She has initially won the first suit as Trump was ordered to pay $5 million in May.
