Former President Donald Trump has stated that he would make an announcement soon about a possible presidential bid in 2024.

On Friday, Trump told Newsmax, “I’ll be making an announcement in the not-too-distant future.” He added, “Right now, I’m helping a lot of people get into office, and we’re fighting the deep state, and we’re fighting [the] radical left.”

Trump expressed optimism about the Republicans’ chances in the 2024 elections. “I think you’re going to be thrilled,” he said. “I think you’re going to be very happy. We want a little time to go by, maybe watch what happens in [2022]. We’re giving tremendous endorsements … and some people go up 40, 50, 60 points.”

In the interview with Newsmax, the former president reaffirmed his determination to fighting the election results in 2020. “We’re also working very hard not only for 2024, but we’re working very hard to show the corruption of what took place in 2020, and then we see what happens,” he added.

Trump has lately fuelled the fires of the legally improbable conspiracy theory that the Supreme Court might overturn the 2020 election results and restore him as president.

According to The New York Times, the former president has accepted the notion of returning to the White House by August, before any future elections.

In a Tuesday message bemoaning the “very fraudulent” 2020 elections, he encouraged followers to look forward to “2024 or before,” according to Insider’s Mia Jankowicz. In hundreds of lawsuits, accusations of electoral fraud have been determined to be baseless, according to Jankowicz.
