Police in Enoch, Utah, said that they found the dead bodies of three adults and five minors inside a home Wednesday. 

The bodies were spotted during a welfare check at a home on Albert Drive. Authorities said that all eight people sustained gunshot wounds.

“Officers checked the residence and found three adults and five minors deceased inside the home,” the release read. “At this time, we do not believe there is a threat to the public or that there are any suspects at large.”

Officials also said that the investigation is ongoing and they plan to provide more information “at a later time.”

The Iron County School District confirmed that the five minors were “students in our schools” who “tragically passed away.”

“This loss is sure to raise many emotions, concerns, and questions for our entire school district, especially our students,” the letter said. “We are saddened by the loss to our school community and will make every effort to help you and your child as needed.”

Gov. Spencer Cox offered condolences on Twitter, writing: “Our hearts go out to all those affected by this senseless violence. Please keep the community of Enoch in your prayers.”

Utah Lt. Gov. Deidre Henderson also reacted to the deaths, saying: “What a tragedy. I’m praying for the community of Enoch tonight.”
