Universal Studios in Los Angeles had a huge fire break out on site exactly 13 years after the previous flare-up. The fire was centred around the under-construction ‘Despicable Me%u2019 figure, according to the video, which is being widely circulated on social media.

A woman present on site claimed that she heard explosion sounds before the yellow-minion figure swooped by flames. She initially thought that the smoke erupting from the fire were rain clouds. 

According to reports, the towering inferno that had erupted at the set could be seen from miles away. 

Matthew Serrano, an American filmmaker tweeted, %u201CLooks like the Mummy is not the only thing cursed at Universal Studios Hollywood%u201D.

He pointed out that 13 years ago on the exact same day King Kong was burned down.

The fire that had broken out on June 1, 2008, destroyed %u201Cthe theme park%u2019s %u2018King Kong%u2019 attraction%u201D. It also destroyed master recordings , including Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Chuck Berry and Aretha Franklin.
