A massive mulch brush fire has broken out in Mesa, Arizona which is reportedly creating mini fire tornados or fire whirlwinds as it burns through tons of mulch in the area.

Firefighters are working hard to bring the blaze under control. Smoke from the burning debris could be seen from miles away. The fire is burning near Loop 202 and Hawes Road in the Southeast Valley in Mesa. No injuries have been reported so far and no structural damage has been observed, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said.

The cause of the fire is not known. Helicopter footage of the fire showed a number of firefighters trying to douse out the blaze. Firefighters are also spraying water on nearby mobile homes to make sure that they don’t catch on fire.

This is a developing story.
