A shooting incident occurred inside a Glenbrook Square mall on September 1 in the afternoon. Following a gunshot incident, a mall in Fort Wayne, Indiana, has been put on lockdown once more. This is the second similar event to occur in the past two months.

In the Glenbrook Square Mall, the shooting allegedly took place next to the fountain near JC Penny. The condition of the victim has not been revealed as of now.

According to information released by Fort Wayne Police on Friday, a gunshot incident involving two persons took place at Glenbrook Square Mall. Following many reports of gunfire, Fort Wayne Police Department officers and an ambulance were called to the location shortly after noon.

A victim with a gunshot wound to the leg was found by police, according to a police spokesperson, in the fountain area next to JCPenney. The suspect reportedly fled the scene, and a potential person of interest is currently being looked into, according to witnesses.

According to the authorities, two men got into a fight, and one of them shot the other. Although he is currently in stable health, the victim is not actively cooperating with law police.

Both shoppers and mall staff were fleeing the area and taking refuge wherever they could. Authorities have made it clear that it is not a hostage situation with active shooters but rather a singular occurrence. Employees were advised to seek refuge and wait for approval from either mall management or the police. The message mentioned a security incident that was still going on there.

This is the second shooting that has occurred at this mall in as many months. On July 8, a second person was hurt when gunfire broke out during a dispute inside the H&M store at the mall, striking the victim in the upper leg.
