Hollywood celebrities, who are scheduled to perform at US President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, have taken to social media to express their excitement.

From Lady Gaga to Katy Perry, several celebrities from Hollywood have posted on their social media accounts in anticipation of the event.

‘I pray tomorrow will be a day of peace for all Americans. A day for love, not hatred,’ wrote singer Lady Gaga in a caption that she posted along with a picture of herself in the Capitol. Lady Gaga is scheduled to sing the national anthem at the oath-taking ceremony.

Singer Katy Perry, who will be performing on the ‘Celebrating America’ TV special after inaugural ceremony in Washington, DC, posted a picture of four mics — one white, one bedazzled with the flag, one covered in silver stars, and one resembling Lady Liberty’s torch.

Singer and actor Jennifer Lopez also tweeted about the event, along with a video on Instagram after she arrived in Washington DC.

Actor Tom Hanks is set to host the primetime TV special, ‘Celebrating America’. The special includes Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, Jon Bon Jovi, Ant Clemons, Bruce Springsteen, John Legend, and band Foo Fighters, who will be performing at ‘iconic locations across the country’.

The inauguration ceremony will be a ‘toned down’ affair due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
