Joe Biden said on Tuesday that he plans to stay in the White House for another four years. Biden is already the country’s oldest president. If re-elected, he will be inaugurated at the age of 82 and would complete his second four-year term at the age of 86, and his supporters are already defending the president’s age, citing rock legend Mick Jagger is 8 months younger than him.

Born on July 26, 1943, in Dartford, Kent. He is 79 years old now.

Social media users are comparing the music veteran’s age with the President of the United States.

The octogenarian is aware of the “legitimate” concerns about his age, which he has dismissed. He has, however, ignored inquiries about whether he has the endurance for another presidential campaign, saying “watch me,” according to the Associated Press (AP).

Republicans have also emphasized Biden’s age, and it is predicted that they will continue to do so until the 2024 US presidential elections.

Nikki Haley, the Republican presidential candidate, has advocated “mandatory mental competency tests for politicians over 75 years old.” This would apply not only to Biden but also to her Republican opponent, 76-year-old Donald Trump, who is also running for president.

Notably, Trump was 70 years old when he was elected to the presidency in 2017.

Supporters of the 46th US president, however, have refuted this. Biden led the Democrats to what the AP calls “surprisingly” excellent election results, as White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre earlier noted.

In February, Jean-Pierre commented, “Maybe they’re forgetting the victories the president got over the last few years, but I’m happy to remind them anytime.”

Despite his advanced age, Biden may not encounter much opposition from Democrats, who are likely to support him in big numbers.
