Pop singer Billie Eilish recently released her sophomore album ‘I’m happier than ever’. The album, which has 16 tracks, starts with Eilish talking about how happy she is and then moves to a place where she narrates her feelings about “When I’m away from you”.

The 19-year-old’s new album gives a look into her life, something that has often been described as complicated and messy. It is a fascinating album with a diary-like narration. Something that Taylor Swift attempted last year, but Eilish is more self-critical.

In the album, which clocks nearly an hour, Eilish talks about growing up in the song ‘Getting older’. She also goes on to makes insightful observations in “Things I once enjoyed/Just keep me employed now”.

The pop savant has dug deep into achieving fame and the dark things that accompany it. She talks about a real-life stalker in the song ‘NDA’. And then in the track ‘Overheated’, Eilish gives her take on paparazzi and how they conduct ‘surgery’ and examine ‘plastic bodies’.

Eilish already has seven Grammy Awards in her cabinet. But that hasn’t changed her or her cor-writer Finneas. In 2019, Eilish gave us “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”, which was a personal, yet sarcastic and quirky track. In all the tracks of ‘Happier than ever’, she has kept that spunk alive and the songs have been constructed similarly, but are crisper.

Earlier this year, Billie Eilish gave her fans an intimate account of her journey to stardom in a new book, ‘Billie Eilish: In Her Own Words’. The book is an exclusive that takes a look into her childhood, her life and the journey that saw her becoming one of the most celebrated singers in the world.

The book was released on May 11, along with an audiobook simultaneously. In her book, Billie has shared her stance on the first release- ‘Ocean Eyes’, her relationship with her fans and photos of her from childhood.
