American singer and songwriter Billie Eilish has given her fans an intimate account of her journey to stardom in a new book, ‘Billie Eilish: In Her Own Words’. The book is an exclusive that takes a look into her childhood, her life and the journey that saw her becoming one of the most celebrated singers in the world. 

The book was released on May 11, along with an audiobook simultaneously. In her book, Billie has shared her stance on the first release- ‘Ocean Eyes’, her relationship with her fans and photos of her from childhood.

It includes never-told-stories about her journey from early years to breakthrough in the field of music, including memories shared by her parents, the book provides a personal and intimate window to her real life. 

In her interaction with Reuters, Eilish said, “It’s funny like, I think a lot of people think that when Ocean Eyes came out, suddenly I was a superstar and quit everything and just became like famous… and it did not work like that at all.”

She added, “Yeah, my life stayed the same for a while. I was still dancing hours and hours and hours a day. And I was in choir still and I was doing all the same things I did. I was in circus class. But to me it was huge and it was like the biggest moment of my life.” 

Eilish became an overnight sensation when she first uploaded ‘Ocean Eyes’ song to Soundcloud. The pop star has received several awards and accolades, including seven Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, three MTV Music Video Awards and two Brit Awards. Her known works include ‘Bad Guy’ and ‘Everything I Wanted’.
