Protests broke out in Philadelphia, the largest city in Pennsylvania, over the police shooting of Walter Wallace Jr, a 27-year old African American man, on Monday. The city witnessed protests on Monday and Tuesday nights, in which the protesters clashed with the police.
Peaceful protests turned into unrest in which several cases of looting were reported. A night-time curfew was declared for Wednesday, that was lifted on Thursday.
