Jason Eaton, aged 48, was arrested on Sunday afternoon in connection with the triple shooting of three 20-year-olds near his apartment building in Burlington, as reported by CNN. The victims, Hisham Awartani, Tahseen Ali Ahmad, and Kinnan Abdalhamid, were all shot as they were walking to a family dinner, according to both police and Arab-American officials.

The victims, identified as students at Brown University, Haverford College in Pennsylvania, and Trinity University, were taken to the University of Vermont Medical Center. As of the latest information, two of them are in stable condition, while the third remains in serious condition.

The shooting occurred on Saturday, and Eaton was apprehended on Sunday at approximately 3:30 p.m. Authorities have not disclosed the motive behind the attack. The Arab-American Anti-Discrimination Committee released a statement indicating that while all three victims initially survived the shooting, two of them are now in the intensive care unit (ICU), with one sustaining critical and serious injuries. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
