Tesla CEO Elon Musk attacked United States President Joe Biden after the latter did not mention him and his company in a post about the future of electric vehicles in America.

Biden’s tweet had stated, “Companies like GM and Ford are building more electric vehicles here at home than ever before.”

To this, the tech billionaire replied with ‘Tesla’ in all caps, “Starts with a T, Ends with an A, ESL in the middle.” Musk also tweeted, “Biden is a damp Socks puppet in human form.”

These remarks were made after the US President met with the company’s competitors such as General Motors, Ford Motor, and engine-maker Cummins at the White House, with Musk absent at the reception.

Ironically, Tesla had reported record profit and sales for 2021, by producing nearly 1 million electric cars and crossovers at plants in California and China. This report was made public barely a few hours before the President’s meeting with others, according to a Forbes report.

Musk, the CEO of the world’s biggest electric vehicle maker and the richest man on the planet, has been openly critical of the Biden administration on several occasions, such as regarding the ‘Build Back Better’ bill.

Notably, a similar incident had happened last year when Biden invited executives from Tesla’s competitors to sign an order to make all vehicles sold in the US electric by 2030. Regarding his absence at the meeting, Musk had tweeted “seems odd Tesla wasn’t invited”.
