US President Joe Biden revoked a 2019 order issued by former president Donald Trump that prevented immigrants from obtaining US visas unless they showed proof of money to obtain health insurance or pay for their healthcare.

Biden in a statement said, “The previous proclamation does not advance the interests of the United States.” He added, “My administration is committed to expanding access to quality, affordable healthcare.”
