US president-elect,
Joe Biden was commended by his plagiarism victim, Neil Kinnock, a former leader
of Britain’s main opposition Labour party who called him a ‘wise man’ with great sense
of service for the nation and the world.

Biden ran for his
first presidential candidacy in 1987, but was turned down following an outrage
over plagiarism allegations on him for lifting a large portion of his speech
from Kinnock’s address without attribution.

The British
politician recently paid warm tribute to the new US president-elect.

“He’s got a
hell of a tough task in the present conditions of crisis,” Kinnock, who
also served in the European Union’s executive commission, said an email as
reported by AFP

The email further said,
“He’s a truly tough guy, and you can tell that because he just gets on with the
job and doesn’t boastfully proclaim his toughness continually like the last
fellow”

Kinnock also recalled
his last meeting with Biden at the Democrat’s Senate office, in 2007 where he self-mockingly
introduced the Welshman to his staff as his ‘greatest ever speechwriter.’

Kinnock also
discussed revisions likely to take place in US-UK diplomatic ties for good under Biden’s
administration.

He added, “Biden
will re-establish a relationship of mutual trust with the EU, value a civil
association with the UK without being effusive, and show firmness in dealings
with China.”

Meanwhile, Pundits
on both sides of the Atlantic have predicted that White House under Biden will
be less friendly to UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, than his fellow populist
Donald Trump.
