The organisers of the Justice for J6 rally, which is being held in Washington DC this weekend on September 18, have asked attendees to not wear clothing related to US President Joe Biden or his Republican predecessor Donald Trump. The attendees have also been requested to not carry any banners.

A memo released by ‘Look Ahead America’, a chief organising body of the rally, said, “Do not wear or bring political, candidate, or another organization’s paraphernalia, including clothing or banners supporting President Trump or President Biden.

The memo, however, encouraged demonstrators to show their American spirit and wear red, white and blue-themed outfits and carry American flags.

It read, “Do wear your red, white, and blue and bring your American flag and signs to show your support of the J6 prisoners.”

In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Matt Barnyard wrote, “Anyone not honoring this request will be assumed to be an infiltrator and we will take your picture, find out who you are, and make you famous.”

He added, ”

This event is 100% about #JusticeforJ6 and not the election or any candidate.”

Officials of the United States Department of Homeland Security said that an estimated 700 people are expected to show up and participate in the Justice for J6 rally in Washington DC on Saturday.

Melissa Smislova, Department of Homeland Security’s deputy undersecretary for intelligence enterprise readiness, said that aspects like hotel reservations, permit applications and other public information is being used to predict the number of protesters, NBC reported.

The guidance memo also advised those attending the event to be respectful to any law enforcement officials present at the scene.

It added, “If you see anyone causing trouble, start recording them with your cell phone video and signal for help to an LAA Volunteer.”
