The Justice for J6 rally being organised in support of those detained for the January 6 insurrection will be held at the US Capitol on September 18 at noon EST. Organisers Look Ahead America said the rally will be broadcast live on its website at https://lookaheadamerica.org/rallylive/.
Even though the rally is taking place on a Saturday, when fewer lawmakers or staff will be present as both chambers of Congress will be on recess, law enforcement agencies say they are taking no chances with security measures.

Washington DC Police Chief Robert J. Contee has said that the police will be enforcing “no gun zones” around the demonstration area and any individual found in possession of weapons will face police action.
At least five streets in Washington DC will be sealed for visitors on September 18, The Washington Post reported. Several other streets will face parking restrictions. The DC National Guard is on standby to provide assistance in case of an emergency, CNN quoted a source as saying.

The US Capitol Police reinstalled a temporary fencing around the Capitol complex on Wednesday night.
Led by former US President Donald Trump’s campaign staffer, Matt Braynard, Look Ahead America says it is “dedicated to standing up for patriotic Americans who have been forgotten by our government.”
Justice for J6 organizers have secured a permit for 700 attendees, CNN quotes an unclassified intelligence briefing from the Department of Homeland Security. The only two guest speakers confirmed for the ‘Justice for J6’ rally at the US Capitol include lesser-known Republican congressional candidates Mike Collins from Georgia and Joe Kent from Washington state.
Collins is among the over dozen candidates running in the Republican primary for Georgia’s 10th Congressional District.
Joe Kent, who is challenging Representative Jaime Herrera Beutler in Washington state, tweeted on Friday that he was speaking at the Justice for J6 rally in support of “political prisoners.”
