Christian Liden, a Washington-based man, was in eighth grade when he dreamt of an unprecedented way of proposing his future partner. At 26, Liden decided he will hunt for a gemstone and make a diamond ring by himself for his girlfriend. This dream became reality when Liden found a two-carat diamond at Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro, Arkansas.

Here’s what the diamond looks like:

A self-proclaimed 26-year old rock scour, Christian, had been collecting gold for years searching throughout his home state. He saved up enough to form a band but was struggling to find a diamond.

One day, he received a bit of life-changing advice from one of his colleagues who told him about Arkansas.

“I was at work speaking with a co-worker talking to them about my idea and he was like, ‘Well, why haven’t you looked into Arkansas?”Liden told USA Today.

Liden further added that his colleague told him about this Crater of Diamonds Park in Arkansas where one can hunt for diamonds by paying just $10 a day. This tip took him one step closer to his dream proposal.

On May 7, Liden reached the diamond park with his friends to look for a perfect diamond to make his childhood wish come true. Three days later into the search, Liden found what he was looking for, and creating a hand-mined diamond ring for his girlfriend wasn’t a dream anymore.

“I found this glittery object in a bunch of gavels and I knew it was something special. I started shaking right away — I was shaking so bad. I waved my buddy over… and I moved my hand and he saw it,” Liden said.

They immediately went to the discovery center to report the finding, and the staff confirmed the size of the yellow diamond.

The 2.20-carat diamond, found by Liden, is the largest that’s been found at the park since last October, when a visitor from Fayetteville, Arkansas, discovered a 4.49-carat yellow diamond, according to a news release from Diamond Crater State Park.

According to CNN, the day after Liden arrived back from Arkansas he proposed to his girlfriend during a walk in the woods and dhe said yes.
