Metallica announces second collaboration with Monopoly
American heavy metal band Metallica announced its collaboration with one of the world's most popular board games, Monopoly for a brand new rendition of the classic game. This time they are celebrating life on the road, including the record-breaking year of 2013 when Metallica became the first and only band to ever perform on all seven continents.
Set out to purchase property with your Metalli-bucks, collectable tokens, acquire all the cities on one continent and add arenas and stadiums to increase your value.
If you end up on one of the "Carpe Diem" or "Shortest Straw" spaces, be rewarded with sticks, picks, and snake pit passes, or fined with parking and stage repair fees.
Player tokens include: Lady Justice, Death Magnetic coffin, Ride the Lightning electric chair, Master of Puppets Cross, Metal Up Your A** toilet, and the Scary Guy.
The "World Tour" edition of Metallica Monopoly can be purchased for $39.99 at Metallica.com.
Other artists who have their own Monopoly games include Kiss, The Beatles, Elvis Presley and The Grateful Dead.
With the ruthless, competitive environment it creates, Monopoly is a pretty brutal boardgame and with the Metallica-touch the makers have tried to spice up the classic.
This could really top the bucket list for the headbanging Metallica faithful. The band announced the collaboration on their official Twitter handle.
