During the Stewart Manor 4th of July parade, former Vice President Mike Pence was allegedly hit by a water balloon.

While the authenticity of the incident is yet to be verified, it has added to the ongoing discourse surrounding Pence’s actions and his relationship with former President Donald Trump.

It gained even more traction in the backdrop of a recent contentious interview between Pence and former Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

Twitter user Chris claimed that the incident was from the Stewart Manor 4th of July parade which is known for its festive atmosphere, where volunteer fire departments from surrounding areas are invited to participate, and the community gathers for a lively water balloon fight. Coinciding with the viral video, a separate Twitter exchange involving Pence and Carlson attracted significant attention. During the interview, Carlson aggressively questioned Pence about his perspective on the events of January 6, 2021, when a pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol, leading to the evacuation of lawmakers and the disruption of the electoral vote counting process.

The intense questioning by Carlson, who previously described the events of January 6 as “mostly peaceful chaos” while at Fox News, highlighted the division between Pence and some supporters of former President Trump. Many Trump loyalists have not forgiven Pence for his actions on that day, which have become a major hurdle in his bid for the presidency.

Pence, speaking at a Family Leader event in Des Moines, Iowa, characterized the events of January 6 as a “riot” rather than an “insurrection.” He emphasized the tragic nature of the day, acknowledging the assault on law enforcement officers and the loss of life, including the shooting death of Ashli Babbitt, a protester, by law enforcement inside the Capitol.

Expressing his deep concern for the safety of those present, Pence condemned the actions of individuals who assaulted law enforcement officers, broke windows, and forcefully entered the Capitol building. He praised the restraint displayed by law enforcement, suggesting that their actions potentially saved lives.
