In a situation that was caught on camera, President Biden was seen stroking the shoulder of a young girl who was terrified as he left Helsinki, Finland.

The small girl can be seen leaning towards Biden and having his mouth briefly rest on her shoulder in the footage, which was recorded as the president said goodbye to embassy personnel and their families at the Helsinki-Vantaan International Airport before boarding Air Force One.

Biden tried to kiss the girl on the head, but she moved her head, as if the encounter had scared her. While the mother of the youngster pulled out her phone to take a photo, the onlookers appeared to be grinning at the interaction.

The footage quickly spread on social media, with many users criticizing the president for his unusual behavior.

“In Finland, Biden wanted to do something for the baby. The baby disliked Biden,” wrote one user.

While some think the president was being cute and playful, others wrote that he was being “creepy” and this was “pedo behavior.”

Republican operative Greg Price made fun of him and said that Biden is “now confusing babies with ice cream cones.”

Responding to the footage Donald Trump Jr. tweeted, “Biden should be in a nursing home, not leading the free world.”

As the president completed a five-day tour to Europe, his recent acts caused controversy. He attended a summit in Lithuania to assist Ukraine in its struggle with Russia and to promote Finland’s NATO membership while he was there.

Unfortunately, Biden made a number of errors while travelling. He mispronounced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as “Vladmir” when speaking before the NATO summit in Vilnius, Lithuania, on Wednesday, perhaps confusing him with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Biden continued speaking despite his blunder before saying that he “shouldn’t be so familiar” and addressing Zelenskyy as “Mr. Zelenskyy.”
