A missing woman, who was publicly not identified, was rescued alive from a submerged jeep in an East Texas lake, authorities said, after a fisherman spotted her.

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office had reported the woman who was rescued missing for some time in nearby Longview, Texas, t. The vehicle was discovered on Friday morning near a boat ramp in Lake o’ the Pines, located 70 miles northwest of Shreveport, Louisiana. The fisherman who discovered the car reported it to the authorities. At the time, he had no idea if there was a driver or passengers inside the car.

The sheriff’s office added that they noticed that a woman was moving inside the vehicle as deputies and a wrecker service were preparing to remove it from the waters.

After being rescued from the submerged vehicle, the woman was rushed to a local hospital. She was given first aid and was said to be in good health. The sheriff’s office released photos

Photos released by the sheriff’s office show two men pulling someone into a small boat, out of the water. The top of the jeep can be seen floating above the surface of the lake.
