The National Basketball Association 2020 Draft Lottery will take place on Thursday at 6 am IST. It will take place in Chicago, Illinois, and will be hosted by Rachel Nichols.

The NBA Draft lottery decides the order of selection for the NBA draft. The 14 teams that failed to make it to the 2020 postseason are eligible for the lottery.

The draw will be Live on ESPN and can also be streamed on Hulu+, YouTube TV and AT&T Now.

The drawing will be conducted by NBA Executive Vice President and Chief Officer Jerome Pickett in the NBA office in Secaucus according to the association website.

The tie-breaker process will be conducted under the guidance of Darrington Hobson.

According to the lottery system rule approved by the NBA Board of Governors in 2017, the team with the worst record for the current season will get no less than the fourth pick.

The Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Minnesota Timberwolves will have a 14% chance of winning the lottery for this year. The odd for the remaining teams will be reduced after the top three teams get their pick.

Each team will have a representative to monitor the draft lottery:

Atlanta Hawks will have Jami Gertz, a member of the Atlanta Hawks Ownership Group. The Charlotte Hornets will be represented by player Devonte’ Graham.

Chicago Bulls Arturas will have  Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations Karnisovas, as an observer. Brad Daugherty, Cleveland Cavaliers Alumni of Cleveland Cavaliers will monitor the draw for his team.

Likewise, Detroit Pistons will have General Manager Troy Weave and Golden State will have player Stephen Curry to monitor the draw.

Franchise Memphis Grizzlies will have Elliot Perry, the Memphis Grizzlies Minority Owner/Director of Player Support for the draws.

Similarly, Minnesota Timberwolves will have player D’Angelo Russell and New Orleans Pelicans will be represented by Trajan Langdon, the  General Manager of the team.

Leon Rose, the President of New York Knicks will be present at Illinois for the draw. James Jones, General Manager of Phoenix Suns will be in the audience.

De’Aaron Fox, Player of Sacramento Kings will monitor the proceedings for his team. San Antonio Spurs will be graced by the presence of Chairman Peter J. Holt. Washington Wizards will be represented by player Rui Hachimura.
