Five people, including three children, were found dead at a High Point home in North Carolina. Police believe that it was a murder-suicide.

The bodies were discovered on Saturday, January 7 morning. The police responded to the spot after they received reports of two people running down the street, screaming for help. The two adults who were seen running down the street have not been identified yet, said High Point Police Captain Matt Truitt. The adults were seen just minutes before the five bodies were discovered.

However, the screaming duo has been questioned and released by investigators. They are believed to have also been on the property but they did not meet with the same fate as the victims of the murder-suicide.

Truitt said: “Officers did force entry into the home and went through the home in what we call a protective sweep, to check for victims and anyone in the home. They ended up locating three juveniles that were deceased and two adults that were deceased.”

There is no other threat to the community, the police have confirmed.

Truitt said that there were four adults at the house when the incident occurred. Two of them are believed to escaped and then attempt to get help. The two adults woke up a neighbor by bringing on her doorbell and then she called the police, according to WFMY.

“I was just like that’s never happened here in like for it to just happened in my house especially it’s like oh my God, what do I do? I just decided to call 911 because I was like I’ll just leave it up to them because I don’t want to put my life on my family’s life at risk,” the neighbor said.
