A Flinstones-themed house in Hillsborough, California will remain as it is after its owner Florence Fang settled a lawsuit with the town. The house came to the limelight when Hillsborough sued her, saying that the place was making a “public nuisance” and that Fang lacked permits for making alterations to the property.

After the town sued Fang over changes made to the property, including the dinosaur structures in the yard, she fought back and did not comply with orders to stop the work. The final decision about the issue was made on June 24.

According to the legal records, the settlements demand the town to review and approve a survey of landscaping improvements. And Fang will have to apply for permits for the building. The town must also pay Fang 125,000 USD for her to drop the lawsuit, which was earlier dismissed on April 27, reported The Guardian.

The purple and red bulb structures were designed by architect William Nicholson and were built in 1976. Fang, a philanthropist, bought the property for 2.8 million USD in June 2017, according to Associated Press. A lawsuit was filed against Fang in 2019 for making landscaping changes.

Along with the sculptures of the cartoon ‘The Flinstones’ and its characters Barney Rubble and Fred Flintstone, the front yard has structures of aliens, among other structures. Fang is not a permanent resident of the property but uses it for entertainment purposes. It is called the multimillion-dollar homage to the 1960s, located in the suburb of San Francisco.
