As US President Joe Biden attempted to make an important point during his speech on inflation in Iowa’s city of Menlo, a bird rained on his parade and left a white mark of poop on his shoulder, right above his American flag pin.  

Despite the harmless aerial attack, Biden continued his speech about his plans to lower gas prices and “putting rural America at the centre of our efforts to build a future that’s made in America.”

“It’s about being made in America,” Biden said seconds before the incident. Soon enough, a video of the incident went viral on social media. 

Uploaded by RNC Research on Twitter, the video has garnered over 1.4 million views and more than 700 comments. 

Reacting to the video, one Twitter user quipped, “Even POTUS is not safe.”

Another user said, “That bird just expressed how everyone in America felt the last time they saw their gas and grocery bills.”

“Let’s identify this bird. I will buy this bird a drink,” said another user. 

“Even the birds are pissed off now. What’s NEXT,” a fourth user chimed in.

According to Fox News, the incident happened in what Biden called a “giant barn.”

Debunking the claim, a White House official revealed that the white mark was “corn’, and not bird poop. However, the clarification has not ceased memes and jokes by internet users. 

Biden touched down in Des Moines earlier on Tuesday for a “rural infrastructure tour.”

During his speech, he addressed the spike in gas prices and revealed his plans to extend the availability of E15 – gasoline from June 1 to September 15. The  E15 – gasoline comprises 15% of ethanol blend.
