According to the FBI, the pipe bombs which were discovered around the party offices of the Republicans and the Democrats in Washington were placed just one night prior to the violent riots at the US Capitol on January 6, reported CNN. 

After releasing photos and other relevant details about the suspect, the US Federal authorities boosted the reward for substantial leads by 25%. The move highlighted the urgency of the matter, which seems to have put strains on the country’s internal security.

A new wanted poster says the bombs were placed between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. on January 5, the night before the insurrection.

In addition to the photos of the explosive devices which were installed in the sensitive areas of the country’s capital, the FBI also released a minor description of the suspect. The suspect, who is yet to be identified, was reportedly wearing “Nike Air Max Speed Turf shoes which were grey, yellow and black colour, reported CNN. 

The civilian reward for any leads which result in the conviction, arrest or disclosure of the suspect’s location has been increased to $100,000 by the federal law enforcement agencies.

According to a report published by CNN, the pipe bombs which were installed were filled with explosive powders, about eight inches and rigged to egg timers. FBI’s forensic lab in Virginia has been investigating the remains of the explosive device while sending out alarms to the civilians about the possibility of the bomber still being at work.
