Mike Lindell, the CEO of My Pillow and ardent Pro-Donald Trump supporter, revealed on Tuesday that his phone had been seized by the FBI.

The Minnesota-born conspiracy theorist said on his show, The Lindell Report, that while on his way back from a hunting trip in Iowa, his car was surrounded by the federal agency’s agents at a Hardee’s drive-thru in his hometown of Mankato in southern Minnesota

The 61-year-old has risen in prominence over the last few years for his seemingly undying devotion to former US President Donald Trump. He quickly became popular among Trump loyalists for his long-running attempts at denying and overturning the results of the 2020 presidential elections.

On his show Lindell explained how cars pulled up around his car and he recalled saying, “…those are either bad guys or the FBI. Well, it turns out they were the FBI.”

Lindell is the latest member from Trump’s circle who has found themselves under the FBI’s scanner and one who has had a search warrant executed against them. During the Trump administration, the My Pillow CEO was an advisor to the President and even advocated for a COVID-19 cure that was not backed by science. Similarly, he also promoted the former president’s accusations that the 2020 presidential election results were fraudulent. Despite lengthy court cases in several states, these accusations were found to be entirely unsubstantiated.

The conspiracy theorist took to social media to claim that he was targeted by the FBI, saying, “They surrounded me at a Hardee’s and took my phone that I run all my business, everything with. What they have done is weaponise the FBI, it’s disgusting. I don’t have a computer, that phone, everything was on everybody.”

Lindell then flashed a piece of paper at the camera which he claims is an order to not tell others about the search conducted by the FBI.

After the FBI stopped his car, they began asking him questions related to the Colorado and Dominion voting machines, telling the My Pillow CEO that they had some “bad news” for him, the Post Millenial, a conservative Canadian online news magazine, reported.

The FBI agents produced a warrant for his phone, according to Lindell, saying that they would be confiscating it, to which he replied that he would need it to “run five companies” since he didn’t have a computer. After consulting with his lawyer, who advised him to turn over his phone, Lindell complied.

He has called the FBI’s actions “disgusting” and “garbage”.

This is not the first time Lindell has been subject to scrutiny from the government, back in January this year, his phone records were subpoenaed by the January 6 Committee.

Some folks on the other side of the aisle were not pleased to hear the news. Fox News host Tucker Carlson announced on his program that the raid on Lindell was a testament to the “Soviet” nature of the Biden administration’s FBI.

“The FBI has just raided the guy who sells pillows on this channel, not because the pillows were bad, but because they didn’t like who he voted for,” he said on his program.
