Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican candidate who supports the QAnon conspiracy theory won the Georgia Primary on Wednesday. She has inched a step closer to winning a congressional seat as Georgia is a Republican stronghold. Greene is infamous for her racist and islamophobic comments.

“Thank you so much to our LEOs for providing security at our election night party. Lots of hateful, violent vitriol coming from “tolerant” hate America leftists leading up to last night,” she tweeted announcing the victory. Greene’s campaign says she wants to save America from socialism.

Greene defeated opponent John Cowan in the runoff gaining 60% of the votes. She will be facing Democrat Kevin Van Ausdal in November’s general election. Congratulating Greene, President Donald Trump said that she is strong on everything and never gives up.

Greene has received a lot of flak for her islamophobic and anti-semitic comments. Earlier, she had said that there is “an Islamic invasion into our government offices.”

QAnon is a conspiracy theory that claims that Donald Trump is waging a secret war against elite Satan-worshipping paedophiles in government, business and the media. It alleges that there is a deep state plot against President Donald Trump.
