Former US President Donald Trump on Thursday lambasted former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson for her testimony before the House Select Committee, wherein she alleged that Trump had “lunged” at a Secret Service agent in an attempt to commandeer his limousine and drive to the Capitol.
In an exclusive interview with Newsmax’s Rob Finnerty on Thursday, Trump called the aforementioned allegations “absolutely crazy.”

“This lady [Hutchinson], yesterday — is there something wrong with her?,” Trump asked Finnerty, before answering the question himself.
“She said I jumped from a car, I started strangling a Secret Service agent? I grabbed the steering wheel of a car? Said I wanted guns at my rally? I didn’t want guns. I have to speak, too,” the former US President said.

Trump went on to assert that the Secret Service had called Hutchinson’s testimony “totally false,” adding, “They put her on, and they don’t even confirm it with the Secret Service. The Secret Service people in the car said this didn’t happen, but you don’t even need that. Who would do that? I would grab a Secret Service person by the throat?”
The former US President also went on to attack Hutchinson’s character, telling Finnerty, “The woman is living in fantasy land. She’s a social climber, if you call that social.”

“I think it’s just a shame that this is happening to this country, and we don’t have any Republicans up there to dispute it. We have one who quit [Adam] Kinzinger, we have another one who’s down by 35 points in Wyoming [Rep. Liz Cheney]. She’s a total disaster, she’s a train wreck, but think of it. Nobody to cross-examine,” the 75-year-old said, questioning the integrity of the Jan 6 hearings.
Trump, who is being investigated for his role in the sparking the deadly Jan 6 riots, also said he hoped that Secret Service agents would testify in upcoming hearings to prove Hutchinson wrong, adding, “she’s got serious problems, let me put it that way. Mental problems.”
