A search was underway for a suspect who shot a victim in Highland Park on Sunday morning and then fled the scene on a bicycle. Authorities have secured the scene and asked individuals to avoid the area for investigation.

Deputies with the Highland Park Police Department and Highland Park Fire Department responded to the 2300 block of Green Bay Road after receiving reports of a shooting.

City of Highland Park Communications Manager Amanda Bennett said that one person suffered injuries and was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. The victim’s condition or age was not known.

Meanwhile, authorities confirmed that this was an isolated incident between two individuals. The male suspect fled the scene on a bicycle dressed in all black.

The search was underway for the suspect. The motive behind the shooting was not known.
