Tony Fergusen, the former UFC interim lightweight champion was arrested on Sunday for DUI in Hollywood, California, after he allegedly crashed his truck into two cars parked outside a nightclub.

He is facing a misdemeanor DUI charge including other potential charges as he refused to take a field sobriety test.

In the video, a large truck flipped on one side with exploded airbags inside, having crushed a Mercedes and another car outside of a Hollywood club, reported TMZ. The 39-year-old American fighter was unharmed after the accident which happened just before 2 am.

Police officers described Ferguson as being “very uncooperative” when he was taken into custody. One of the cars involved in the accident belongs to rapper Cash Gotti, who came out of the club to find that his Mercedes had been crushed.

Ferguson last fought in September 2022, where he was defeated by Nate Diaz in round four by submission. During the fight, he suffered a nasty gash in his leg.

It was Ferguson’s fifth straight defeat but he isn’t ready to retire yet, saying that he’s “still the f****** champ.” The 39-year-old will hang up his gloves on his own terms.

“When I feel like “I’m ready to retire, I will retire. But right now it’s a little bit different, a little bit more interesting,” he said, reported ESPN.

Ferguson is a former lightweight interim champion with a 25-8 record. Since 2011, he has fought exclusively in UFC and has been one of the top 155-pound fighters in the last decade.

His wife, Christina Servin, filed a restraining order against him in 2019. Later, she said it was an attempt to get him mental health help. Servin alleged Ferguson claimed he was being tracked through a chip inserted into his body during surgery. She dropped the restraining order the next month.
