US President Joe Biden signed a $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus bill on Thursday, making millions of Americans eligible for direct payments of $1,400. The payments are expected to hit citizen’s bank accounts starting this weekend.

“Some people in the country will start seeing those in those direct deposits in their bank accounts this weekend. And payments to eligible Americans will continue throughout the course of the next several weeks,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on Thursday.

However, the eligibility criteria are slightly different from the first two rounds.

1. This time, individuals earning up to $75,000 and married couples earning less than $150,000 are eligible for the full payment amounts.

2. Individuals earning between $75,000 and $80,000 and married couples with income between $150,000 and $160,000 will receive partial payments.

3. Individuals with income above $80,000 and married couples earning above $160,000 will not receive any payment.
