Joe Biden’s much-anticipated plan of relief to the COVID- distressed economy was passed in the US House of Representatives on Saturday.
The $1.9 trillion relief package, which is expected to provide relief to Americans, was passed by a landmark of 219-212, reported AFP.
As the number of deaths touches 500,000 in the country, the year-long disruption in the proper flow of the economy has brought a lot of distress in the lives of people. As a response to this, Biden proposed a package relief of $1.9 trillion.
This is the 6th aid from the federal government and will be including $1400 daily payments.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also supported the package stating that there is a great need for the package and the opportunity to present it is also there. The package is also reportedly very famous with a majority of Americans.
Although the bill was passed in the House where Democrats hold a majority, Republicans have criticised the bill saying that it looks like a ‘liberal wishlist,’ reported NBC News. It has also been called costly and corrupt.

Joe Biden had also proposed a wage hike but it was put down in Senate as it did not get a majority.
