Singer Justin Timberlake, on Wednesday, made his appearance at US President Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony, performing on Celebrating America. The 90-minute show was hosted by actor Tom Hanks.
Ant Clemons began singing ‘Better Days,’ the tune from the iconic Stax Museum of American Soul Music. Timberlake then joined in and proceeded to the streets to finish the song.
Students and alumni of Stax Music Academy, music education and youth development program were invited to perform alongside them with a band.

Posting the performance on his Instagram, Timberlake said, “Today we all watched @joebiden and @kamalaharris take office — and make history. Tonight, @antclemons and I are deeply honored to perform our new song, BETTER DAYS, as a celebration of everything this administration represents… as well as a reminder to keep our eyes on the road ahead.”
According to ET Online, Emmy nominated musical director Adam Blackstone managed the live production and arrangement for the performance.
Celebrating America highlighted, “American heroes who are helping their fellow Americans through this crisis, including frontline workers, health care workers, teachers, citizens giving back, and those who are breaking barriers.”
The show began after Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris were sworn in. Earlier, Lady Gaga sang the national anthem, while artists such as Jennifer Lopez, Bruce Springsteen, John Legend and Demi Lovato performed as well.
