A plane that took off from North Perry Airport in Pembroke Pines, a city in southwest Broward county, crashed into a car, killing three people, including a boy, and injuring one woman in South Florida, officials said. The plane was a six-seater aircraft, and it clipped a power line and crashed into a residential area in Pembroke Pines, fire rescue told the local media.

There were two passengers in the airplane, both of them died in the horrific incident, the boy and woman who were travelling in a SUV got severely injured, later in the evening the boy died, according to officials.

When the police and fire rescue arrived at the site, the young boy was trapped inside the car and the driver was able to pull herself from the wreckage, reports the Sun Sentinel. Both the car passengers were taken to a hospital, where the boy succumbed to his injuries later in the evening. Since May, this is at least the fifth major incident at the airport.

The injured woman was later discharged from the Memorial Regional Hospital, where she was in a serious condition.
